PHP Introduction

05:22

Before starting just simple difference between scripting language and programming language :

A programming language is a special language programmers use to develop software programs, scripts, or other sets of instructions for computers to execute.  for example we write code in java  then we compile it & then  we get machine code format .class file(bytecode) & then we run it .

A scripting or script language is a programming language that supports scripts, programs written for a special run-time environment that automate  the execution of tasks that could alternatively be executed one-by-one by a human operator. Scripting languages are often interpreted (rather than compiled).

A scripting language is usually interpreted from source code or bytecode. By contrast, the software environment the scripts are written for is typically written in a compiled language and distributed in machine  codeform.
